sendpeer
how it works
peer-to-peer · end-to-end encrypted

Send a file.
Not your privacy.

Direct browser-to-browser transfer. No account, no upload, no file-size limit. The bytes go straight from your device to theirs.

or receive

Encrypted in transit

WebRTC DTLS-SRTP encryption is mandatory. The server only introduces the two browsers; it never sees, stores, or relays a single byte of your files.

No double transfer

Files stream while they are read. There is no upload-then-download step, no temporary bucket, and no waiting for the sender to finish before the receiver starts.

Nothing to install

Any modern browser on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, or Android. Share one link. The other person clicks accept, picks a folder, done.

Honest by design

No ads, no account, no “upgrade to send more than 2 GB.” Works on LAN without a detour through a server, and across the internet when NAT traversal allows it.

What this can and cannot do

Works

  • Direct transfers on the same network, with no upload round-trip
  • Internet transfers between most home and mobile networks
  • Files of any size (streamed, not buffered by the sender)
  • Multi-file sends, verified with SHA-256
  • Self-hosting with one Bun process

Limits

  • Strict carrier-grade NAT or corporate firewalls need a TURN relay
  • iOS Safari buffers downloads in memory (no folder picker)
  • Both tabs must stay open until the transfer finishes
  • No resumable transfers after a hard disconnect
